Revelations for the Revolution

m_fdeb7a2c2a38817967b647cbe014deba2.jpg     The latest album released by Main, “Revelations for the Revolution”, showcases songs from previously released singles: his debut ”Losing Face” and sophomore LP “Musik Is All I Need”.  The 14 track CD gives you a Bird’s Eye Sound of growth and ambition to change the thought process of youth and shift the masses to a greater cause and good.

In a recent interview with the Denver artist, he expressed his excitement about putting out material that listeners can grown with, and is interested in how people will react to songs from his debut in comparison to his second single.  He is releasing a video for “Roads We Choose”, track 9 of the album.  His mixed tape is also expected to hit streets in October.

After listening to the album, my first reaction was to the progression and accession of the lyrics and potency of his subjects.  I realized the transition that was taking place during the making of these songs, and by further researching the personal events and circumstances directly from Main, I could look deeper into the emotion of the album.

Production complimented the subjects well.  Most tracks were produced by Main himself.  He had help from fellow C’Kret Society alumni Baliztic for a couple of tracks.  The one collaboration ”The Times” with Jason is a nice track to run to.  My favorite track on the album, “Free”  gives you motivation to ”…Roll it up wit knowledge, nigga blaze with me, through these hard times…” .  4 out of 5 stars = Must Grab
